Abstract We investigated the use of geographic information systems (GIS) to study prevalence non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in association with area deprivation within Tongatapu, largest island Tonga. This is a case determine what possible achieve since various data issues influenced by institutional and organizational barriers exist, affecting integration GIS use. A conversion framework was developed using tables (GCTs) process existing into compatible format create new geographies analyse NCDs across different levels geography. Area higher rural district associated NCDs. However, at lower geography, distribution patterns NCDs, were unclear. methods collection, recording dissemination.
